Good Bye 2009! I for one will not be sad to see this year go. It has been a year of heart break, pain, and despair.
I am ready to welcome in 2010.
Some highlights of 2009.
American Idol--namely Adam Lambert. Wow. I don't care what his sexuality is...the man can SING. "What do you want from me" is a GREAT song and I loved his rendition of "Mad World".
Cinderella-- After losing Nick ... Baby Sherlock and Mozart seemed lost. So after a couple of weeks just started looking for Maine Coons...the shelter where I had gotten Nick had two...so decided to go look. They both bit me ;/ So was about to leave when my mom found this little Calico...with a block head. In looking at her ...her front paws look like the state of Michigan...She has extra toes...After playing with her for an hour...home she came. Naming...well Cinderella was the name because her paws were the only one to fit in those shoes...
Some lowlights of 2009.
May 19th--losing my Beloved Maine Coon Nicklas...he was an angel. Beautiful and fluffy. I was shocked to lose him. He died in his sleep..peacefully in his favorite box.
Family---my dad in particular...surgery...surgery...and recovery.
My uncle--terminal illness.
My other uncle--getting divorced.
Mom and I in an auto accident...then three days later dad had to swerve to miss a guy who "floated into our lane " and nearly missed the median.
School...yes a low light.
Back in school to retake some science classes--SOMichigan requires science courses to be "within 5 years" before you can start a nursing program. So having to retake a couple of classes--one hightlight though is a nursing program is interested in me :)
Celebrities...we lost so many this year...(Insert list here)

Just checking in:
~In pain: While house watching for a friend, I had to feed their cats. One cat is beautiful and a Maine Coon like my former Beloved Nicklas...the other..is psycho and as I found out vicious. So after feeding the beautiful one...I turned to head back upstairs so that psycho could eat. As I went to enter the stair well I hear RAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. And then felt searing pain. Psycho flew off the steps and took a bit of my forearm. I got her off...and was bleeding something fierce. After running to the bathroom for alcohol I went home. Fast forward the next morning...my arm kinda resembles a baseball bat. So off to the doctors I go. As the doctor looked me over he was debating on admitting me to emergency since the swelling was bad which means psycho got me good with bacteria. I kinda pleaded to go home and he sent me home with an armload of meds, a sling and a wrap. Fast forward to now...I have to take two pills a day which tend to knock me out...after about an hour. I slept through most of the 4th of July...hope everyone had a happy and safe one...
~ Hollywood took a hit...losing what 4 in two weeks?
MJ, FF, EM, BM. If anything is learned...Life is short...cherish each day as if it were your last.
~ Best Buy...oh the blog post that will be coming about this...still in fighting this one out.
~Red Wings--yes they lost, not surprised though..Congrats Darlin Pengs...and hey TEK? Your guys got Pronger...I hope Pronger wrecks havoc on the Eastern Conference much like he did on the West. #87...that's the number you want.
Be well all,

Heartbroken, Soul Broken, Sad
Let this day be noted as the day my heart broke and my soul is gone. My beloved Maine Coon Nicklas Lidstrom died in his sleep. He was found this morning in his favorite box. I am devestated. Destroyed and have been crying all day. He was my cat. The last of the "yellow gang." Poor Baby Sherlock is lost Nicklas was his pal and leader. I am going to miss him terribly. :(
This was the "Yellow Gang". Osgood and Babycat Jack were killed by toxic food. Nicklas was the last of this group. He was the baby.

He loved his Santa Hats

This was Nicklas' favorite toy

Just what is a "blip on the screen" anyhow?
Good Evening~ I'm writing this at a time when I'm feeling overwhelmed. Lots is going on..far to much to write about right now. But since I hadn't posted since February I figured I had better drop a line before a search party ensued. But I live. I have another week of hell to go through but I am going to the Wings game tomorrow.Oh by the way? My birthday is this month.

Mmmmm Happy Valentine's Day!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Since it is Valentine's Day I thought I would recount one of my favorite Valentine's memories. It occured many many many years ago while I was in middle school. At about 7 PM that night the phone rang. It was my best friend, he asked if he could bring something by for Valentine's Day. Me being me said sure..why not? A few minutes later a knock at the door...opening the door..was given a card and a heart shaped pizza. It made me laugh at first...but really thought it was kinda cool..(hey I was young and before I knew I had a gluten allergy). Why did this memory come back to light? I heard ads on the radio "get your girl something she will love...mmmmmmmmheart shape pizza." Just brought back a good memory thought I'd share :)
A picture I found on the net:

Another One Bites The Dust
I have been refraining to write on this topic for a bit now. But after 7 @*# phones...I feel the need to at least vent a little.
If not for a certain carrier resolving every issue including the latest sending me a brand new phone of a different brand which I'm still figuring out.
The phone that is a colossal failure is:Sony Ericsson 750a

It is actually purple but every picture looks pink.
I believe the problem to be a software glitch...which causes the phone to randomly shut off...no matter what you are doing at the time..and then you can't turn it back on for a least an hour or more. Then it would vibrate...twice...and you still couldn't turn it on. Sadly, outside of this issue it WAS a good phone..and PURPLE.
That was the problem with phones 1-4.
2 phones I rejected on sight...one was scratched to hell...and the other was dirty has hell.
The last phone I received was on 3 of February. I noticed something that was a little odd about this one. When you opened it to make a call or text..you could see a visible light throughout the unit. So a call to Customer Service to report this peculiar problem and she immediately told me not to use the phone while plugged into the charger...and that she is offering to exchange this phone for a new unit of brand XYZ. (I don't want to jinx it and it isn't purple) after looking at customer reviews I finally agreed to one of the options she gave me. So we shall see how long this one lasts before there are "issues".

Nicklas Update Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh
My Beloved Maine Coon Nicklas is one for dramatics. Which once again led to a frantic Saturday. Random bleeding again...so a panic call to the vets and we were off....pushing the limits of speed and time...made it to the vets. So we are now medicating again..hoping it is just a 'bug' if this round of anti-botics don't work..deeper :( tests must be done. As I have said before my beloved Nicklas is the last of the true yellow gang...he has survived so much I am hoping all will go well with this bout. :(

Boom Boom Gets Released.
Boom Boom Mayor Update:
Well Mr. Boom Boom Ex-Mayor Update.
Kilpatrick was released from jail after serving 99 days of a 120 sentence. He didn't leave jail quietly--of course not. He had his goons/"body guards" there who man handled the Press (TV 7 and TV 2) TV 7 had a female reporter who can be clearly heard "DON'T TOUCH ME!" and another reporter you here WHACK...and what that was an elbow to the mouth of a TV 2 Reporter. ALL UNACCEPTABLE.
The most amazing thing spoken from the EX Mayors mouth? A Reporter asked would you change anything? ...He said "NOT A THING". Wow. How insane is that.
He jumped a plane and headed to Dallas,TX for a "job interview". But he has to be back in the "D" by the 5Th. 5 Years Probation....and 1 Million back to the City Of Detroit..and possibly Federal Charges.... more on that later. But the Boom Boom now (Ex)Mayor wants to go to Texas....Hey Hey GOODBYE!.

My Beautiful Maine Coon Nicklas Lidstrom

My Beloved Nicklas.
Nicklas is my beloved Maine Coon who is 7 years old now. His namesake of course is Nicklas Lidstrom. He was rushed to emergency on Monday. After I found a trail of blood through the house. He was bleeding...for no apparent obvious reason. So off to the vets we went...during one of the icest days in Michigan I might add.
A couple of hours there...some tests...and a baggy of medicine we were off again. Waiting for results--takes a day.
So watching Nick all night...feeding in a mixture of food that is mostly human.
Fast forward to the next day:
Worries abundant because we still have Baby Sherlock..who went through his own medical hell.
A call to the vets....luckily...all serious stuff was negative. But the vet thinks he got a version of food poisoning...so we have to keep him on the human made cat food...slowly returning him to cat food.
So here's hoping he bounces back QUICKLY.
